He Waits (Edited draft)

                                              
I hugged the Doctor as I left to visit my brother up in Cloudsdale. I was gonna be away for four days.

It seemed like a long time to be away from My Docky for we see each other every day and we cuddle and give little kisses to each other.

I like being with him. He follows me pretty much everywhere I go. He's always  by my side, like a dog, just to be sure I'm safe.

He tucks me in the evening and kisses me goodnight.
Really, he comes to house and hangs with me till I fall asleep in the safest place in Equestria... His arms. That Doctor always makes me smile and never lets me down.

You can say he's overprotective of me, but not the "If you even look at my girlfriend I'll kill you" kind of protective.  He's protective enough that he lets me go out on my own and mingle with other stallions as long as they don't hurt me. He says that If I ever want to break up with him, I could just let him know and that would be it. No drama, no fussing, just "okay". He also told me whatever ends up happening in out little relationship, even if it draws to a close, He'll treat me the same, without the kissing, cuddling and the cutesy pet names. I'll never let that happen, I can look for a thousand years and not find another stallion like the Doctor.

Other mares may be bothered by a stallion that follows them and treats them like a father... But i love it... Because I remember spending my entire childhood alone in the dark... No pony to hug...to Hold, share my dreams and woes to, get help from, to go to when I need help, to protect me form the darkness, to cuddle with me when I am scared, and For some pony that I can love... and they'll love me back.

for a short of my life, I grew up like a alley cat. My biological parents didn't have enough bits to keep me so they brought me to Hoof dale where I was dropped at the Orphanage and grew up. I meet a stallion named Link who took care of me. we soon got tested by some pony who told us we where Biologically related. He raised me but even then... I was still  mocked my entire life because of my wonky eyes.... Even to this day and aria. Then I meet the Doctor.

The Doctor was the only other pony (besides my brother) to understand my pain, my life,  and not only that but to actually admire my eyes.
He says they are the most beautiful thing he's ever seen. He tells me that ponies make fun of them because they don't take the time to get to know me and Judge me for my cover. He says most humans are no different. wonder what that means....

I'm gonna miss him a lot. But I told him I'd be back soon. The Doctor gave me a kiss on the lips and held and stroked my hoof with his, and whispered softly in my ear
 "I know and I'll be waiting." I giggled.

We held hooves as he walked me to the the mountains that the City of clouds towers on. He was kind enough to not only escort me to my
Hometown... but to carry my bags.

He handed me my luggage and gave me a kiss good bye. "Ill see you later muffin he whispered in my ear. I nibbled his ear making him giggle. "I'll miss you to Doctor."

"Have fun miss hooves" he called off as i hovered ready to take off.

"You too!"
I left to the sky when i heard hoof beats galloping below me. It was the doctor again.
"Don't forget me"

"Not in a million years babes."

I took off. Below, the stallion started slowing his gallop to a light canter then a trot to a halt as he watched me off waving goodbye rearing.

I blew him a kiss and he blew it back.
"Good bye Ditzy tell your brother I said Hello!" he neighed

"I will" I whinnied back

With that he patted off.

I missed him already. as much as I missed him, I knew he wouldnt like knowing that I dwelled on the fact that he wasn't there with me. so I keeped thinking about my Brother as I dissapeared into the misty white clouds.

Just ariving in town I saw my brother Sprint Foot waiting for me all anxious.
Sprint Foot (or Sprint his nickname)  had simular coloring to me but his mane was a bluish cool shade of grey and his coat was the color of my mane, blonde and his legs where goldish. His cutie mark was a cloud with wings. His eyes where brown and he the only simularity we have was he had one some what lazy eye, yet somehow, he is a natural flyer. I never got that. I asked the Doctor and even he a natrual genius dosnt understand it. He wants to meet Link and ask him questions and test on him. My coltfriend is the kind of  Eggheads everywhere! It's annoying sometimes but I still love him.

We went back to his house and caught up on life. We haven't seen each other since Heart's warming Eve! Sprint Foot told me all about his newest achievement as becoming a member of the Wonder bolts as the towel colt, but still He works with them so whatever helps him sleep at night, Works for me.

I was so happy for him. I told him all about Ponyville and my boyfriend. We started dateing after Link left to go home. The only reason he knows of Link in the first place is because I told my little handsome devil (The Doctor of course).


"SPECIAL SOME PONY!? WHO IS HE? Have I meet him?" reared Sprint
Oh sorry I forgot to mention. Ever since my last boyfriend abused me when we broke up, Link has also been protective on me and works up a sweat when I mention the words, Special Some pony. he never likes the stallions I've dated... Even though there was only one other pony not counting the doctor who wasn't really a Pony... but my brother didn't need to know that. Besides the Doctor who'd want to go into a lecture about that later. He usually dose.

"No his name is the Doctor and he is really good to me. He takes care of me all the time. I love him and he is a great guy. Had a hard time getting rid of the poor colt to get here. He lives all alone in that box of his just him and that golden retriever of his. he is gentel and treats me like a lady. He has never and would never nor can I ever see him hurting me. Even if he had to, he wouldnt have the hearts to do it. Hes tough on the outside but a sweet, gentle lug on the inside that burns with a passion for every pony and everything. you two would get along just fine."

"Well." said Sprint. "That's what you said about


To expalin the Doctor's aforementioned golden Retriever... I understood how lonely the doctor was all alone so Fluttershy gave me one of her puppies. He is a beautiful golden retriever named sam. The doctor trained sam to guard the TARDIS when he's out. He is a good guard dog. He is now full growned and keeps the Doctor Company when I am not there.  The Doctor told me he can speak dog. I tell him he has a big imagination.

I told my brother all about the Doctor, our adventures and about my new muffin recipe. Apple muffins.

The next three days where spent the same way. He took me to a wonder bolt derby where i met Spitfire! Shes my second idol next to the doctor.

The following day was spent sight seeing around Cloudsdale and went though the Weather Factory and I got to see where they made the snowflakes and rainbows. It was beaituful I wish the doctor had wings, he would love to see this place... He'd find it "Brilliant".



I missed the Doctor a lot... But it was the following day I discovered something i never ever expexted to happen....

I woke up the following moring around 10:00 am.
Packed and left back to ponyville.

I hugged Sprint goodbye and headed back. I headed to the same spot where the Doctor waved me off.

When I landed.. I saw nothing.
I looked for him a d discovered i was the only pony there.
I was a little disapointed for before I left, my widdle snookums, He promised me he'd be there when I came back. I didn't see anything.

Then something caught my attention.

It was a small oak tree with a stray branch that had a pice of green fabric draping over the branch. it looked like a tent. Beside the tent, sat a fire pit and on the other aside of the tent, was a deep hole with a shovel beside it.

I assumed some pony was on a camping trip and forgot their supplies.

To test my theory,
I took it upon myself to investigate.

I slowly walked to the tent and stopes by the hole and shovel.

"Hello?"
I called.

It was then when I herd something moving inside the tent.
I waited a second and out came the Doctor.

"Doctor? What are you doing?" I said with enthusiasm. I was so exited to see that adoreable face of his.

The colt sat and rubbed his eyes and took a  big yawn and streached out his long storng arms and craked his stiff neck Assuming he was sleeping . His warm blue eyes lit up with life when he saw my heart sipped a beat, and I blushed as I saw galloping full speed towards me
"DERPY, DERPY, DERPY, DERPY , DERPY, MY LOVE!"
He cheered as he ran and finally pined me to the ground, with him and his shadow towering over me like a skyscraper as he started smothering me in little kisses all over my face and lips. I was laughing. he continued planting widdle affectionate smooches on all over my face for about 1 minute straight, smothering my cheek and lips. it felt really good. I wanted to do the same but he didn't let me he was "busy" If he where waring lipstick, My face would be red. But hes not so let's keep it that way!
 "Well, Hello there handsome stranger. I missed you too" I flirted back placing soft kisses on his face.

after two minutes of hugging, kissing and nuzzling together I stopped and asked him

 then i looked at him in confusion
"When did you decide to go camping?"

The Doctor's eyes opened his blue eyes as he stood tall and proud as he held his hoof out and dusted both of us off and swiped me off my feet holding me in his signature "protective Proposition" he gently and slowly began to wrap that long muscular neck of his around me sniffing my mane, unwrapped it again and looked at me and clucked blushing.

"Oh I wasn't camping you silly filly...
I was waiting."

"Waiting for what?"
I asked intrigued.

"You. I guess when you left I was worried about you. So I went back to the TARDIS and grabbed some supplies and set up camp so I would be here when you returned." he grinned.

I opened my eyes in shock and looked right up into his dreamy blue eyes conserned.

"Did you go back for food or water at least?"

The Doctor shook his head.
"Nope I stayed put. I never went back. In fear you would come back while i was gone. If it wasn't for Noteworthy who brought me water and Applejack who brought me food, I would of died whaiting. I promised I would be here for you when you returned and I vowed to my life to keep that vow on my honor that you give me to treasure." He set me back down on all fours and sat across from me as he sat tall and proud with satisfactory on his face with his hunky chest all puffed, eyes focused on me ears forward ready to listen, with his cute little croped tail thumping lightly on the earth floor. all regal like making me blush.

I was speechless.... I sat stairring at him mouth open in disbelief.

"So let me get this straight.... ya didn't leave?
You just lived here for four days straight and never left for food and water so you can keep an eye out for me?"

"You are a great listener my love. I like that in a Mare." he smooth talked as he pounced his eyebrows lovingly and leaned closer to me. I playfully pushed him away laughing slightly


"Oh Stop, but didn't you have to use the bathroom?"

"Yes of course. Why else would I use a shovel and a hole! It was fun!"

gave him a look in disbelief.

"But why Doctor?"

The stallion took a step closer to, me held me in his arms again and gave me a big kiss with his soft gentle lips.

"Because I couldn't wait to hold my true love in my arms any longer after you left.
I really was lost without you. I had dreams of kissing your soft coat, cuddling with you cradled in my arms or visa virsa beside a nice warm cozy fire, I dreamed of you and me having a romantic dinner on a beach where we snuggled up to each other for protection of the chilly breeze that blew by feeling the warmth of each others bodies as we cuddled under the stars and getting butterflies after hearing that adorable laugh and bubbly voice of yours that my ears craved so. I would do just about about anything just so I can cuddle with you beside tbe fire listening to your gentle heartbeat that is like music to my ears. I really missed you. And i hope you had a good trip. and didnt worry about me or any silly stuff like that. I hope you where able to enjoy yourself."

I placed my hooves on my heart and swooned out a light (aw)
I noticed the Doctor was crying a little bit.
"Doctor? Are you crying?"

He unwraped his long muscular neck from my neck and he  looked at me and i was a tear in his eye.

"Yes I am, I am so happy to see that you made it home safe and sound!"

I never knew how sensitive he was. It was adoreable.

I giggled and lightly kissed him on the nose.
"Ya know you are nothing but a big sweetheart. I still cant believe you'd do that just do we can be together again."

The doctor licked his tear drops and kissed my nose and smiled tugging at my heartstrings.
"Love makes people do silly things Derpy."
He quoted.
"And let me tell you i am more in love than ever before.
You mean everything to me.
If I lost you. I would die inside. I would be even more lonely than I was before I meet you I'd be beside myself and I would not look at another mare ever again. I worry about you all the time.
About you, your struggles and your safety, you worries I want you to be happy. And Theres nothing that can stop me from loving you, protecting you or making you smile.I will do anything to keep out love alive, you have no idea how much I feel for you my cuddle wuddle bare. I love you more than....than..... more than all the love in the universe times 10. Sometimes I love you a little too much... but that doesn't make me want to not love you any less. As far as romance goes, I can be hard to please, but you my love, hit my weak spot with those eyes.
And You already know that I will.... never.... ever...ever...never...ever.... hurt you. No longer shall you have a need to be scared or hide in the shadows, or be scared of the world. I promise to do my best to protect you from whatever has the guts to try to hurt you, I will try to show you the light where there seems to be only clouds, I will hold your hoof and help you through hard times, I will stay up all night and patrol your house if you feel threatens, I will pray for the lives of those who even dare to try to challenge me to hurt you, I will be your shoulder that you can cry on and those arms you can jump into when you are scared or worried, I want my chest to be the thing you bury your head into to escape the pain as well as the thing you can feel comfortable with balling upon and not worry about those pesky spectators. I'll take care of them. I want my arms to be the place where you climb into when you are cold or need to be safe and I want my lips to me the things that can kiss away your tears and pain and calm you down. I want to be the Best Boyfriend I can be. And If there is something I do that makes you feel per say urm.... Annoys you or if you need space Ill adjust it to suit your needs. That is how much I love you. And remember even if I am not by your side physically, You can always look into the stars and I will be right there watching over you. And if they hurt you and I cant eb there to rescue you, they should expect a beating later on. In other words. I love you with all my heart and I hope you feel the same about me too."

It was then when I discovered how much he really loved me. The look he had in his eyes told me he was speaking from the bottom of his hearts. I've never ever had some pony love me that much. He spoke softly and salmly as he held me tight and stroke my maine gentely with his big hooves, holding me close to him me sitting sucurely in his lap as he rocked me back and fouth as I looked into his eyes. The way he looked at me filled my heart with love, joy and comfort. I'll never forget this feeling.
I never even knew it was possible for some pony to love some pony else that much. I love him more than he thinks too.

Even to today i still cant believe it! He is something else.

"Oh Doctor." I swooned. "No pony has ever done and said something so sweet for me before. Thanks a million my widdle cuddle wuddle boo!"
I said jumping onto him playfuly.

He chuckled. "Oh anything for you my love."

"Need help packing up?"

"Sure just throw everything in the cart. Including your luggage. I'll take the shovel. You dont want to-"

"Already Ahead of you!"
I said carrying the Doctor's pooper scooper to the cart.
He took it from me and put a bag over it so it didn't smell so bad.

He hitched himself to the cart and offered me a ride.
I jumped on and starred at him the hold way home.
Swooning as he talked. We talked about our adventures. I told him of my brother.


That night after he dropped off all of his stuff, feed Sam, Cleaned himself up then came to my house and we had one of the best little date at home.

First we had dinner wich was a romantic candle lit dinner with salad. Not the most romantic menu but when I'm with the doctor, he can make anything feel romantic.
Then we shared some muffins.
We ate the same muffin together to the point we touched noses without realizing a thing. He noticed is and bit off his part generously leaving me the rest.

After the muffins we watched a scary movie in my request.
I don't normally like horror films but I liked the idea of jumping into the Doctor's strong arms at the scary part. I've always adored that feeling of his Protective arms around me. It's veary soothing. It's almost like he can write a book about it, "How to hold a mare"!
He has no idea how much I love him back. It was love at first site for me. took him some time to figure it out.

As He held me tight in a soothing cuddle and protecting me from nothing.
I was faking it on command  just so I can feel his powerful love upon me.
It was overwhelmingly amazing and beautiful.
I swoon and daydream when he holds me protectively making sure I feel as secure as possable.
He kissed me. and murder some things in my ear which I couldnt make out, but I knew hw was reminding me that He's is right there and He'll protect me with his life.

moments ticked away from the two of us. at this point, I was already out of his arms and sitting on the sofa next to him. He wasn't holding on to me but just like any run of the mill boyfriend he did the old pretend to stretch and slowly wrap your arm behind your mate assumeing they don't notice gag. I chuckled at his cute effort and leaned againced him



I screamed a little bit when the murder jumped on the mare with no warning and stabbed her 45 times.

He held me closer to him so I can hear his hearts beating. And held me tight and rocked me back and fourth paying all of his attention to me.
I jumped into his arms scared and buried me face in his hunky chest as he immediately as soon as i landed in his lap, held me so tight. and focused all of his attention on calming me down and making shere I was in a safe place where nothing could hurt me. Even if they wanted to, hey had no way of doing it without touching him first.

Literally that stallion was pretty much on top of me. If I was a Turtle, he'd be my shell, My eyes may have been shut but I could feel that he had every part and every muscle of his entire body, warped around me and on guard protecting me from the TV.

I was pressed gained the stallion's Muscular chest with my face reached gently upon his soft but extremely powerful hunky chest His long strong arms wrapped around me tight enough that eh didn't hurt me or my delicate wings but tight enough to keep me safe and sound, even his back legs where used in the protection of the Derp in giving me a place to sit and to protect my lower body, his neck wrapped around my head and his eyes scanned the room for threats and danger that may cause harm to me. he kept his head close to mind to i can feel him breathing on the back of my neck and so he can listen to me if I was to say something. Even his tail was involded as short and as cute as it was, I could feel him continuously wrapping and unwrapping it with my long blonde tail. we sat there together I calmbed down quickly to the beating of his heart in my ear and that one of a kind feeling of the protection of the Devoted stallion that loved me so much. As we layed there in our little ball of love, I nuzzled his strong from in a way to say thanks to my widdle cuddly soldier.  I was still alittle scared so he started to hold me closer and rapp me up a little bit more. I felt like I had the entire Solar army surrounding me when I really only had one little colt with a big heart cuddling me as he wispered sweet soothing words in my ear.
"hush now....my little pony...
If any pony wanted to kill you, they'd have to kill me first.  many have tried and aperantlu that's really hard to do.
You are safe ditzy. I am right here by your side and in always will be till the end of time It;s gonna be alright, I love you and I won't let you get hurt, It's just a movie, It is not real, Focus on me for a second I can help you. I love you You are safe in my arms."

I swooned at the thought of a hunky stallion and I in a ball of love me in his long strong arms as he took care of me. the feeling of all of the love and passionate words he mentioned earlier still repearing In my brain . I was saggeing in there, So in love that i couldnt handle myself.

That time i wasn't acting. I love the way he holds me. Its like he knows
everything about love and how to make a mare feel special.


it was then when He reached his neck down and pointed my chin up so I could see his glisening georgous eyes warming my heart in assistance of a warm smile as I sat there blakily as the Doctor kissed me. And I mean KISSED me. I kissed back. I felt the love rush through my body as his gentel lips pressed againced mine. we lost track of time but when the kiss parted the clock had passed 50 seconds. He let me go and I could bearly stand, my knees where weak my wings had a boner and my eyes where part shut and my mouth was still open my ears hung low and my onve gray face was now red. I could tell that if he was standing, hed be doing the dame thing too. I turned to the doctor and he winker at me and smiled. "With all my heart ditzy, I love you.


After the movie, we wbt to bed. He knew how much the movie scared me so he slept over. We got in the same bed and curled up in a little ball of love, kissed each other goodnight and fell asleep. Feeling the warmth of his strong and sturdy form made me feel happy. we feel asleep and cuddled all nigth long. I woke up in the night and swooned to see that my widdle sexy Snookums was still holding on to me and smileing. I sighed and rolled over and pressed my back againced his husky pecks and rested my head on his bisep and under his chin. As I drifted back to sleep, I felt him plant one last kiss on my head and him whisper, "good night my little one, I'll be here when you wake up. sweet dreams my sweet, sweet, cuddle muchkin."

"good night my sweet handsome widdle Docky."
he held me close and he fell asleep. I laied awake and thought about his waiting for me.
Yeah I guess I can be the overly attached girlfriend
But he's the overprotective boyfriend. Together in a sappy fluffy romance story
That will never end.

I sat in bed and wondered more on why he'd wait for me... Maybe its because he knew id do the same for him.
